The sanctuary is located to the West of Narnala Gugamal National Park and Melghat Wildlife Sanctuary area situated in Amravati District. The area of the sanctuary falls in Buldhana District of Maharashtra. Jalagoan is a town about 40 Kms. The nearest airport is at Nagpur more than 300 Kms. away by road. The area forms the Western part of the Gawilgarh hills in the Amravati District. The area is almost an extension of Melghat Tiger Conservation Complex consisting of Gugamal National Park and Melghat wildlife sanctuary and Narnala Sanctuary of Akola District.
